The facilities of the recently opened hotel in Punta de Mita were perfect for the cocktail offered by the Riviera Nayarit Convention and Visitors Bureau and the Government of the State of Nayarit.
In the framework of a splendid sunset, Riviera Nayarit welcomed the chefs who participated in the Vallarta Nayarit Gastronómica 2020 Special Hybrid Edition, which was held in this destination from October 29 to November 1. Later, in addition to enjoying a cocktail, they not only enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel, but also the extraordinary beauty of the destination.
The “boho chic” atmosphere could be felt as soon as you arrived at the hotel, where a magnificent sunset was part of the natural spectacle that perfectly complemented the magnificent decoration in neutral color: flowers, dream catchers, cushions and deck chairs, wood, macramé and all the Bohemian-style paraphernalia, all perfectly scattered in an open-air space between the gardens and the beach.
Livings, electronic music and dances complemented the celebration, in which the cocktail bar could not be missed, as well as a selection of drinks made by Nayarit mixologists. Gastronomy deserves a special mention, -the queen of this event-, always in the same vein as the theme party and that on this occasion opted for roasts and grill, standing out the zarandeado fish, a typical dish from the state of Nayarit; as well as kid, suckling pig, fresh seafood, a fine selection of tapas and the most delicious dessert bar.
The guests had the opportunity to live with the star chefs, among which was the renowned Spanish chef Mikel Alonso, Abel Hernández Mejía, Oscar Herrera, Darren Walsh, Jorge Orozco, Ambassador of Pre-Hispanic Cuisine of Mexico, Jesús Vázquez, Marco Valdivia , and Emma Bonilla.
Chefs Bricio Domínguez, Jonatán Gómez Luna, Jordi Casas, Pablo Salas, Elías Sapién, Memo Wulff, and Ana María Soto Vargas were also there to mention a few.
Union and strength
Carlos Elizondo, general director of VNG and Consuelo Elipe, operational director, welcomed the chefs and special guests, highlighting the spirit of union that this event entails, despite the uncertain scenario presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.
“However, we feel solidarity and responsible in the need to support destiny, Mexico and the world as never before. Support each person and company, involved in daily life, struggling to get ahead and start again and better. Thanks to the chefs, who made a great effort despite this situation, for which they deserve all our thanks, affection and respect. With all my heart, thank you!
