Beaches in Punta Mita are Reopen

Dear Punta Mita Fans,

Punta Mita is happy to announce that mid-week the Governor of Nayarit announced that beaches can reopen in the State as of Friday, 9th October ,2020 reiterating the importance of social distancing and applying the 30% of capacity rule in all areas.

Essentially this means that Punta Mita is now completely open, and we cannot think of a better place for a change of scenery than the beaches of Punta Mita. Our beaches are open again and our destination is ready to welcome you back to our shores. We have missed you.

That being said, we all need to take basic precautions to prevent the spread of COVID-19 such as wearing a face covering in public settings, keep your distance from others, wash or sanitize your hands frequently. We know it is unusual, but we also know that is the best way to prevent transmission of the disease. Now’s not the time to let up.

All beaches reopen tomorrow with social distancing requirements. Beach Clubs as well as the beaches will have limited capacity. We understand the importance of getting outdoors, to stay active and healthy, maybe now more than ever and the beaches of Punta Mita can be a space to safely enjoy the outdoors to swim, boat, fish, kayak and more but only if everyone follows the public health requirements to avoid groups and practice social distancing.

Apart from beaches at both hotels reopening as well as the Pacifico Beach Club we are pleased to announce that we will finally be opening “El Surf Club ” – Punta Mita’s newest seaside retreat where Punta Mita club members, resort guests and villa renters can enjoy surf rentals and instruction, drinks from expert mixologists, a barefoot-chic vibe (fueled by in-house DJs), and Chef Pato Persico’s Mexican coastal cuisine, which highlights fresh, locally-caught seafood , gourmet tacos as well as burgers. We look forward to welcoming you back to Punta Mita – #staysafe
